Dividing By Ten

This week I have been learning to divide by tens.

This is a word problem I created.

I have 50 birds I equally shared them into 10 cages.

Each cage has 5 birds in one cage.

It was a bit too easy to do because me and my friends finished our work really fast.

Dividing By 5

Today we learned about dividing by 5.

This is a word problem I created to show my learning.

I had 30 goldfish. I equally shared them into 5 fish tanks. Each fish tank had 6 fish.

Te maata springs

Last week, our class went to Te maata spring to test the water.

First. we did a karakia called ko Te pu.

Next. we learned how to use a net. We put it in the water and shuffled our feet on the rocks. We took our feet out of the water to see what we caught.

Then I caught three kewai and one water bug. I also saw a tuna.

I felt excited because I got to test the water.

Digital pepeha

This term, we have been learning about our pepeha. One of the things we did was find information about our pepeha and made a digital version. one thing I found easy was writing my pepeha. One thing I found hard was writing my awa. Next time I will do my moana.
